The parade was a charity event put on by Cars for Kids, a non-profit group established after a
bicycle accident resulted in a severe brain injury to a 12 year-old boy.

The investigation into who was driving the dragster
was postponed until the police could determine if any
of the victims had tossed a  marijuana joint.
