WHERE'S THE DANGER?
President Bush asked the country's youth to enlist in his wars and told the
parents and other "influentors" to keep out of the decision.
War is dangerous.
"NASCAR has the best fans of any sport in the world May your
favorite driver win! This sport embodies the best in America, and
American values. So God bless the troops abroad for defending the
values of freedom and democracy . And God bless America. Thank
you!"
-Senator Bill Frist (Tenn-R)
President Bush courted NASCAR voters intensively during 2004 for reelection.
Driving fast cars are dangerous.
"DANGEROUS DRUGS" is a non sequitur. That is, the phrase is too much
of a fallacy that it distracts from the greater truth. People are told of the
danger to incite a fear and establish an argument basis. Indeed, most
people will not even consider discussion because they have accepted that
drug use is dangerous, thus, unsupportable.

DANGER, though, is not a basis for restricting drug use. It may be a
consideration, but without more, it fails to explain why a person should be
subject to more harm by penalty or punishment then the drug would do to
the user.
If DANGER was a true consideration in human activity, few events would be
allowed. Most sports would be outlawed as would almost any physical
event. Can watching tv be dangerous?
An adult should be allowed to decide whether drug use is an acceptable
risk as they do for all other DANGEROUS choices they make.

Are YOU willing to risk sliding down the snow-covered mountain?
Then go skiing.

Are YOU willing to swim in shark-infested waters? Then go surfing.

Are YOU willing to wake up with a hang-over? Then go drinking.

Are YOU willing to enhance your feelings and emotions?
Then take drugs.
For me, football, wrestling, skiing, surfing, parachuting, bull-riding, are all
too DANGEROUS. In fact, there are few events I find of interest that are not
a danger to me. Chess is one. I can't think of another.

But i can watch others who have decided that it is an acceptable risk to
them such as skate-boarders, kick-boxers, hockey players, sword-fighters.

And there we have it. As it is, I can either watch these others or find
something that satisfies my interest. Certain drugs satisfies me.
I HAVE NEVER MET A DRUG USER THAT LOST HIS/HER ARM OR LEG
TO A SHARK.

I HAVE NEVER MET A DRUG USER THAT HAD ANY BODY PART
AMPUTATED.

I HAVE NEVER MET A DRUG USER THAT HAD HIS/HER NECK BROKEN.
